No one should pressure you to join. The decision is yours alone, and it is a free choice.

You can leave at any time

You can stop being in a study whenever you want, for any reason, and you do not have to explain why.

You have a right to understand

You can ask what the study involves, what the possible benefits and risks are, and what other choices you have. You can ask as many times as you need.

You have a right to be treated with respect

Your privacy, your dignity, and your safety come first. If anything ever feels wrong, you can raise it with the team or with the ethics board that oversees the study.
